Sailing on the Dhow Tajwid

On April 11 we had arranged to go on a sunset cruise when Kenya went on tsunami alert We watched the news from Indonesia and it looked like the wave would not reach East Africa until after our three hour cruise so off we went. Later the warning was removed and hakuma matata! http://allafrica.com/stories/201204120091.html . The Dhow Tajwid was ready for our party and the weather was just right for a sail at 4pm so we left the dock at Watamu and sailed up Mida Creek to see the mangrove forests along the creek and local fishermen in their canoes.  Bird watching was great and swimming off the boat was great fun for all.
